When was the last time you put yourself first?
Women often put themselves and their health & fitness last after everything else in their life. This can lead to weight gain, low energy, and a loss of sense of self. It doesn't have to be this way, you can take back control and feel energised and powerful in your own body, and you can achieve this with good nutrition, lifestyle changes and well-planned exercise programming. You are not alone
If this sounds like you, let me tell you, you are not alone. If you are female and over 40, there is a good chance you have the added complication and challenges that menopause has to offer. Changing hormones as we age can bring many unwelcome changes in our bodies. Remember puberty and all of those challenges? Well, welcome back to round two only in reverse - except it may feel more confusing and daunting because there appears to be nothing good at the end of this ride.
Making a decision to be strong, fit, healthy, and vibrant is one of the best gifts women can give to themselves.
Don't wait
Many women wait far too long before taking care of themselves, often waiting until menopause to make big changes that they needed to make 10-15 years earlier. If you are in your late 20s or early 30s, you are in a unique position to take the reins of your health and fitness so that menopause is less daunting and your body is strong and ready before older age arrives. Did you know that young women begin losing bone mass in their early 30s? NO! Neither did I. This is the time in your life when you get to decide what quality older age you will live.
It's a decision you need to make
Making a decision to be strong, fit, healthy, and vibrant is one of the best gifts women can give to themselves. Whether you are in your 20s or 50s and 60s, it is never too early or too late to make positive changes so that you can live the strong, powerful and vibrant life that you deserve.
Do you need some support and guidance?
In my role as a fitness trainer and lifestyle coach, one of the most common things I see is confusion when it comes to diet, exercise and lifestyle interventions. With so much advertising hitting our screens everyday, it is east to get caught in the 'quick-fix' trap. Unfortunately there is no fast solution, we have to get really honest with ourselves about our food choices, lifestyle choices, mindset choices and everything else in between. When we start with the basics like diet and lifestyle, we can make big changes to how we feel inside and out. I created my Thriving Woman Coaching Program for this very reason. To eliminate the confusion, strip back to the basics and give women the tools so that they can live the life they envisaged for themselves inside a body tht not only looks good, but also feels amazing.
